As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who spent eleven years working in the public-school system—the last 6 of those as a school social worker, Cheryl McDougall is a candidate whose primary objective is to make sure each student receives a high-quality education that results in them being prepared, productive, informed and engaged citizens.

She is a passionate advocate for public education and all of our children.

She believes the role of a strong Board of Education is to provide a safe learning and working environment that includes adding school resource officers and mental health clinicians in our schools.

She is an advocate of a social emotional learning curriculum for all schools.

She believes it is important to ensure that our professional teachers and staff are adequately supported.

She believes it is important for school districts to demonstrate fiscal prudence and financial responsibility.
